My neighbor called me over yesterday and asked if I knew what made these. The trees are in his front yard and we're in the city. He thinks a big cat (mt lion). I was thinking deer, or some kids messing around. What's your thoughts

Montana! We have seen a doe or two around before, but few and far between. If it was fall, I would say buck for sure, but this is from a couple days ago.

Looks like a buck rub to me, but time of year is really odd. Set up a trail cam, and hope it comes back. At least that's what I would do.

No up date ? Have you seen a hard antlered buck around ? I know there are a few cases of bucks not having balls, and not dropping their antlers. Could it possibly be something like that.

Well what's a little odd is, the time of year. I understand it's a new rub ( maybe its not, but thats how i took it) , and I am pretty sure the bucks are in velvet and no where near rubbing it off yet. At least here they are.
