As father time clicks along, it gets more difficult to get into shape and stay in shape. For me it is about staying in good enough condition in the off season to venture out snowshoeing, shed hunting or just hiking, knowing that I don't have to worry how far I go or how strenuous it may be, similar to hunting season. I want to enter the season knowing there is no real limit to the hunt, other than how far my joints will allow me to go. Many times this time of year it is just the mindset to get to the workout and once there I can relive a hunt in my mind or a strenuous day and that mindset gets me through the tedious time on the treadmill.
