I am looking at getting new arrows and wondering what percent of foc I should shoot for. I am looking at the gold tip pro velocity or the Easton injections. What are your guy’s thoughts?
10-15% will get the job done and should provide enough FOC to be consistent. Both GT and Easton make quality arrows. I think GT are better overall, so I shoot them.
I am guessing you will get a 50/50 split on this forum, so good luck.
10-15% is a solid number to shoot for. I am currently shooting the 330 Injexions with excellent results. I have shot the GT Velocity's as well and they make a great arrow also. Won't go wrong with either but the Injexion shafts will be tougher than the Velocity's
I agree with the 10-15% recommendation. I have shot arrows with FOC as high 17% but didn't see the benefits that I had hoped for. The injections I am shooting now are about 12%. I would like to try them at a higher FOC but with only 100 grain points available for the deep six inserts my choices are limited. When I refletch I am going to go without the cheap factory wraps. I have never used outserts before but I am going to try some fire knock outserts with the injections. It will increase FOC and give more choices for broad heads. So far other than the limited choice of broad heads I am pleased with the injections. They seem quite durable and as accurate as any other quality shaft.
