What is the most comfortable backpack you have ever worn?

People come in different shapes and sizes so it's a personal preference. For me the Stone Glacier Xcurve has been the best hands down. It doesn't matter if I'm just packing lightweight picnic stuff for the kiddo while fly fishing, a whole caribou (quartered up of course) or moose hindquarters, the thing is always surprisingly comfortable and always stays where I put it.

As technology has improved, my most comfortable packs have changed. Started with a Kelty aluminum frame then moved to the Gregory Zulu and Baltoro. Now I have to say my Kuiu and Mystery Ranch Guidelight MT suspensions are the most comfortable. Holding off from looking at others so I can spend more on my activities than gear...

Seek Outside Revolution frame. Only been able to test side by side with an Eberlestock and an EXO, but was lighter than the EXO and seemed to stay more clamped to my hips. I'd take either one, but I'll never look at an Eberlestock the same again.

As I've stated many times on many threads this has been my exact same experience. I keep trying other packs and frames, but always come back to the Stone Glacier xcurve.

For me it's been the SG Xcurve. Tried Kuiu, Kifaru, MR and Exo but I always come back to the SG. I would love to try the SO frames at some point though.
Everyone is so different. My SG does not fit my son very well and he loves his KUIU.

I used to just take my mountaineering backpacks hunting, but the Kuiu frame systems have been a nice upgrade for me. The X-Tall carbon frame (26") works for my height (6'5") and longer torso.

I'll admit the older narrower shoulder straps that Kuiu started with did not feel great under load, but the wider shoulder straps, carbon frame, and hip belt make it easy for me to set up the Kuiu packs for me.

After wearing many packs in the military and wearing a MR Guidelite for two elk seasons, I've switched to the Kifaru Duplex Ultralight. Haven't tested in the mountains yet but I've done some rucks with it and it is by far the best frame/pack I've ever worn.

For me it has been the SG X Curve. The pack is so adjustable that I am sure it could be custom fit to just about anyone with any body type. That is just my opinion though

I have found my x-curve to be the most comfortable frame I’ve used so far. With the guide 7900 bag, I’ve found the ultimate mountain hunting pack (for me).

Kifaru Duplex hunter frame 24 inch has been the best for me. It really stands out over most of the others once there is over 50 pounds in the pack.

Initial Ascent hands down. 1 frame works for all their bag systems, I’ve carried about 100 lbs in mine, my training weight plus my 4 year old very comfortably.

So far my most comfortable is the Mystery ranch metcalf followed by the mystery ranch Coulee 40. That being said I am not a gear tester or haven't had the opportuntiy to try all the high end packs out there so take it for what its worth. I carry the Coulee every day back and forth to work and home so that may even take the top spot simply because of the frequency that I use it.

Hill People Gear Ute pack or Exo 3500 pack. Both work well for me. both very comfortable with or without heavy loads.

I purchased the Mystery Ranch Metcalf with the guide light frame after reading reviews and looking for a quality pack, at a reasonable price. I have taken it with me the last two years but have only used my day pack. It certainly handles a load well, I am rucking with it now with 74 lbs. in the pack, However it does fit tight against your bottom back so I get that sweat patch in the lower part of my back. My Day Pack has an offset back that prevents this sweating hot spot. Looking back I wish I had more zip pockets and looked a little more before purchasing. I assume that Guidelight frame will have that sweating issue with every pack you put on it.
