What is the issue with Accubond long range bullets?

I had a hard time getting a few custom rifles to shoot the lrab and called the ballistician at nosler. We had a long chat about them and to sum it up,

They use a different copper on the lrab as opposed to their other bullets. The lrab will sometimes dwell a bit longer than other bullets while pressure builds which is likely where the seating depth criticality would come in. A firm kiss or large jump would likely smooth the dwell time into something consistent. The suggestion I was given was to try faster powders on sharp throated guns that struggled.

I personally gave up on trying to build around them because of the randomness and inflated BC.....BUT the bullet does perform well enough with good velocities.

Bumping this thread for more insight on hunting performance with the ABLR.

I came across some 6.5x284 nosler factory loads last year for cheaper than any hand load. So I bought 5 boxes. Worth the price in brass alone. Finally shot them this week and they shot ok at 1”MOA and an SD of 13.8. I’ll start testing long range accuracy soon.
Here’s the start of the 150s with H1000. Velocity is a little low 1 group was half an inch. 2 groups were 1 inch and the picture below was the best. The grids are 1/4 inch squares That was 55g at .020 off. My velocity was 2729. I mean it will work, but going to keep going. I’m going to try a few more and if I can’t get what I want which is around 2850 minimum I’ll try RE26 next. ES was 10 fps
