64" Bear Montana longbow 50# @ 28 drawn to 32". This is my second season shooting trad and have thought about upgrading but haven't had a single complaint with my Bear.

I tried that very same bow this spring. I really wanted to like it, I also draw close to 32". Unfortunately mine blew up the second day I had it.

I did get a quick refund from 3Rivers, great company to do business with. Rolled that money into a Toelke Whip. Loving this one.

Wow, I keep a pretty close eye on it and haven't had any issues. Too close to September for the thing to give out now.

No doubt it is a very isolated incident, but man, it left me bleeding from minor head wounds, and a general distrust in the product.

Bear sent me a prepaid label so I could send the bow back to their plant in FL for examination. I didn't hear anything back from them.

For this year I got myself a 3 pc takedown Pronghorn longbow. It is 64” and 51@30. For the first time ever I got a bow that was made to the weight I wanted at my true draw length. I love it.

Caribow Silver Fox with 2 sets of limbs....55 and 60 @ 28". I have the 60s on it now as I'm getting ready for Alaska. The 55s are my 'easy' limbs and I use them for practice and in deer season here. Arrows are built by me using Surewood Shafts Douglas Fir. My broadheads for years have been the Abowyer Wapiti. I'm currently averaging a 3-4" group of 3 arrows at 20 yards. My typical max 'will shoot' distance is 30 yards m/l, but I'm mainly about getting them inside 15-20 yards. I'm pretty damned deadly when I can smell their breath.

Being left handed is a curse, when trying to find different bows. Luckily I found a Bob Lee that I absolutely love. Ordered myself a Hardcore 54# at 28. Will be trying out a few different arrows when it arrives.

My main squeeze is a Caribow Peregrine two piece 53@28. Back up is my A&H ACS CX two piece, 51@28. Both are tuned up for the same arrow and broadhead, which is a carbon express 350 tipped with a 250 gr Grizzly broad head.

I have a sweet new Hawk recurve by Mike beckwith which may be the fastest bow I own. But it is still too new to be comfortable taking into the woods. It will get its turn in the spring chasing bears and gobblers.

I've decided to give traditional/barebow a go. I have a basic setup: Hoyt Excel riser (23in), Soul Black limbs (28lbs). I'll be working with this setup through the winter to nail form, and pick up some hunting limbs in the spring.
