I'm curious what bullets have been found to work in a factory length mag.

Is there anything heavy I can load and use in the factory magazine for coyote? I've been shooting the 75 ELD-M but single loading sucks and I'm over it.

Do the heavier TMK/SMK work in a factory length mag, or do I need to source a different mag set up to use?

Any particular reason you feel like you need to shoot heavy bullets for coyote?

I load 77gn TMKs for hogs & deer, but my go to for varmints is 55gn Hornady. I've yet to have to shoot one twice.

77 TMKs work from a factory mag but i just use an aftermarket mag as they are readily available (or at least they were). My T3x lite does not like the 75 ELDs much.

What’s the twist rate ? My tikka 223 doesn’t like heavy bullets, poor stability

I don't need to shoot heavy bullets at them, but the Tikka and my ARs are all 8tw. I simply prefer to shoot heavy over light in them. The 75 ELDs shoot 1/2" but they're long and a PITA.

The only mags I found looking around yesterday were $185 from some company I've not heard of.

I'll try some TMKs and the 73 ELD.

Assuming you're referring to waters rifleman from Australia. The prices listed are in Aussie $ so they are a bit cheaper than that but still expensive once shipping and everything is figured in. I wasn't aware that mountain tactical is no longer making .223 mags, mine doesn't feed well anyway.

What's your 75 ELD load?

Not a huge game changer but for ARs i use ASC metal mags that allow 2.30" COAL.

Waters Rifleman (Australia) is the best mag for the factory tikka. Excellent quality. It comes out to a little over 100 shipped. You can load to 2.6 in the .223, this is the 77tmk loaded .010 off the lands.

I didn't realize that was Aussie currency. Will keep that in mind if I end up having to go that route.

This Tikka I bought around 20 years ago when they very first started importing them. I picked up an 8 twist barrel on ebay last year that I think was off an old school T3 Tactical (has M18 muzzle threads).

These were shots 11-15 and 16-20 after screwing this barrel on.
