What happens when a gun manufacturing company dies?

Guns at the end of the day are tools. If used hard enough or long enough they will need to be rebuilt or replaced. You wouldn't keep a nail gun around that couldnt be fixed.

I am stringless with this. I have a para ordnance warthog. Sweet shooting 45 but Remington bought them out and now defunct now.... do I keep or unload...

Just shoot it and enjoy it. Upgrade later, put it in the safe and save it who cares?

I have a fly rod that isn’t broken but can’t be replaced. It was a gift from my father when I got out of highschool. It dosent have any real world value but I don’t want to break but so I just keep it in the closet and I’m happy with it there.

Classic case of a good craftsman/poor business man. Never should have taken a $4000 job on an $800 gun without 75%-100% down before touching it. Hopefully the $4k education will serve him well.
He is a hell of a smith and stocktaker, but you are correct an absolute shit businessman.
