What happened to the model 70 in 7mm-08?

I have a Tikka Superlite in 7mm-08. It’s my backup. It does this:
And you were giving me shit about wanting a 7-08? Lol. Can’t ask for much more than that though! My 7 mag groups 1/2” at 100 and I’m pretty damn pleased with that

Just an FYI, Pharm was being a bit sarcastic because a lot of guys on this forum and others state that his beloved 7-08 is only good for women or children and that real men shoot bigger cartridges.

Lol yeah I’m new here but I kinda picked up on that when he revealed he had one, especially that groups that well. Always thought it was funny how much shit real hunters and shooters get from couch potatoes who haven’t touched their rifles in years, or whose idea of hunting is shooting something out the window of their truck or elevated box blind. After I got my 7mag, a guy told me he’d never own one because he watched his friend shoot two deer (that I suspect he missed) and they ran off like they weren’t touched. Thats why his deer rifle is a .300 Win Mag

Don't get me wrong, I do my fair share of hunting out of elevated box blinds, but that is because on our property we believe in the "work hard-hunt easy" approach. We work our asses off all year planting plots, managing our woods for bedding and cover (hinge cutting, building brush piles, etc), mowing, fixing boxes, filling the protein feeders, fixing stuff the bears wreck, etc. We do it so we can sit in those insulated boxes and shoot deer at 20-25 yards with our bows, or cull does with the suppressed rifles.
Now, when we decide to head over to the neighboring public and chase bears, or head out west to chase elk with our bows, or down to NM to hunt oryx, or TX to hunt Axis and pigs, it is a whole different story.

I also spend a fair bit of time chasing pigs down here where I live and go out and kill deer on crop damage permits 2-3 times a year as well, so I do a fair bit of "testing" with various cartridges and bullets to see what works well and what doesn't.
