I have to find a new fixed blade to shoot. I have been shooting strikers but don't like that about every 3rd one will have a loose blade that rattles. I want one that flies good out past 50 and is solid. I am planning a mt goat hunt for 2015 and I need to get one I like and get some kills with it for confidence. Oh I shoot 125 grain heads too

Been shooting Slick Trick Magnum 125's this year with great results. Killed two bears and a bull with them this year and they fly great out to 80 yds.

For fixed blades I've had great results with the Shuttle T. Flies great and cuts like it should

Love Stricklands Archery 125 gr Helix.

52 yard double lung complete pass through on my first bull:

The arrow lodged in a downed tree and after pulling it out, the head was still super sharp.

I'll be taking VPA 3 blades with me on my Mtn goat hunt next year. There is not a tougher head made. The only one build from solid machined steel.

QAD Exodus... I was surprised at the effectiveness of this head. Plus it shot really well for me at longer distances.

Shuttle T's - Thick blades, replaceable, Fly extremely consistent, tough, have killed 5 whitetails with them. Never heard any bad rap on them.

i shoot two fixed blades. Slick Trick mag 100's and the Montec 100's. of the two, i think i have to give the nod to the montec in terms of accuracy. they just fly great!! i do know that the 125 gr heads are physically larger. hench they have bigger "wings" to push things sideways in the windy flight.

the slicktricks..the size is the same for both weights.

the only downside of the montecs: they are embarassingly dull feeling. i use a japanese waterstone to them, and they get ridiculous. i love a cut on contact head..just a mental thing for me.

Boom, if you like COC heads, look at VPA's. Same proven design as Montec's, but made of a solid block of MACHINED steel. Much stronger and easier to get sharp than Montec's cast pot metal.

Ramcats. Each year I have tried a fixed blade and always have ended up going with an expandable but this year I went with the ramcat because it flew with my field tips as good or better than my expendables. Hit my deer a bit back but it tore him up so bad it was a quick recovery.

Used thunderheads for years, been using qad exodus for the last year. And I love them, razor sharp fly great and very very sturdy. 2 deer 3 turkey and a pig later and they are my goto.
