I work for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife as an R3 specialist. For the past 2.5 years, I designed and ran classes, workshops, and social media to recruit and retain adult hunters. Our strategic focus was/is on waterfowl, turkey, and wingshooting as good entry-level hunting opportunities for adults.

Last year, I started a web-based private land access program that helps hunters connect with small landowners experiencing chronic nuisance and damage from turkey, deer, etc. This year, I'll be focusing on building that program as a way to create hunting opportunities closer to urban areas here in Oregon + help landowners with their damage issues.

Nice! I’ve been in the ag/food world for about 11 yrs now. I work as an advisor/consultant so we help raise money (debt and equity) and study market/investment feasibility for companies. We work primarily with first level processors but some larger production guys too. Some of the guys that started the company came from cobank.

I worked with dr quist when he was at Iowa state (I think he’s in idaho now). Awesome summer and have a lot of respect for the biologists! I still remember the smell from boiling a frozen bone (I think an ear bone) from dogfish and scrubbing it with a toothbrush to get it ready for aging!!
