Is this generally a better option to working for large commercial trucking companies or retail trucking?I'm a Truck Driver, i Drive for ports and rails...
Tried to get into this just out of college...didn't manage it and ended up in beverage manufacturing engineering. Do you enjoy it? certainly sounds like a great time!Design engineer at an archery company.
Most of the time, absolutely! Coming out of college I consulted in the pipeline industry for a couple years, and this is way more fulfilling. Sometimes it is less fun, though. Growing up bow hunting it has been an awesome opportunity to have come "full circle" and in a way give back to the sport that has given so much to me personally. There is NOTHING better professionally than when we get letters from customers, especially kids, who have used some of our equipment to harvest an animal and want to say thank you. I've had the opportunity to do a lot of really cool things and go to some really cool places via my job as well.Tried to get into this just out of college...didn't manage it and ended up in beverage manufacturing engineering. Thanks so much for responding. I'm probably past the point in my career where I could justify making a switch, but its nice to hear it is a fullfilling path! That being said, its still a job, and dealing with some of the "corporate bureaucracy" associate with such can really take a toll (like most other jobs).
