What do I do when "SHE" says I have to many racks and need to shoot cows n doe's ?

So today we were at the storage unit looking for a few things and when we had to move all of my deer and elk racks out of the way she stated that I need to quit shooting bucks and bulls and concentrate on shooting cows and doe's. I was like wth. Umm I dont think so. I told her one day we will have a place big enough so i can display them properly, and will beable to afford to do full head mounts on the bigger ones. But in the mean time do I uhhh accidently um shoot the big guys as they keep coming by?? lol give your input. thanks

Time to go hunting a new dear. I was married for nine years and seven were the best years I ever had but there is no way I would do it twice. I have seen the promised land ! Free at last ! Free at last !

A lot of folks would benefit from getting a dog before getting a ring. Saves a lot of trouble down the road.

When she starts talking just picture her naked, nod your head and do what you want. Thats what I do.

Your first mistake was "storing" the heads in a storage unit.....you got to set a precedent, those things should be everywhere from the guest bedrooms to above the $hitter. It's an uphill battle for you.

+2 on this advise.

A couple of years ago, I was put in the position to decide it was either her or hunting and my career. I chose the later. If she doesn't support your passion and makes you keep your heads out of the house, the handwriting is on the wall. Dogs are just way more supportive in the long run and will always be there for you!

Only you know if she was serious or not. When I got married my wife told me she didn't want any dead heads on the wall. I had shot a moose when I was 16 and my sister had the shoulder mount at her house. They rearranged and no longer had room so they said I could bring it home. My wife than said it would look nice on the fireplace. That opened the door and now there is 4 dead heads on the wall of my living room. She calls it redneck chic. God I love her.

This post is very entertaining....my better half many years ago said no heads upstairs, we then negotiated and remodeled the living room I now have an elk mount upstairs, just one but the entire basement is mine and Rackville.....seems like some negotiating is in order...good luck....
