There are very good bucks in the unit, but typically terrain and vegetation can make it difficult to find them - but it's a true rut rifle hunt, one of the few in OR, so you have that on your side. They'll be mule deer as far as a record book goes, but it will be much more like blacktail hunting. There's all sorts of terrain options from wilderness land, to NF, to lower timber patchwork. Up to you on what you want to hunt.
