Lots of Yota talk on here! I'm picking up this truck, it has a 156,000 on the 2.4 - 4 banger! It's in very good condition. I'm picking it up from a 84 year old woman who's had it the last 20 years. It's a 5 speed. I'm adding a 3" lift & new tires & rims. Will it be worth 3500.00 when done?

If it wasn't a 5 speed I'd give the cash for it now.

Of course they do! Most of us hunt Archery so 4wd is not needed!

Why is a 5 speed a downer?

I have a 96 with a 2.7L 4cyl 5spd (4wd) and I love that truck. Not the fastest and it doesnt tow or haul very good, sucks in the wind, but......super rad on these shitty forest service roads. I have 311k miles on it and its still going strong.

Great post! I also have a 1993 Toyota 4x4 extra cab with 305,000 & love that beast, it has the 3.0, it sits all year in a carport awaiting elk season. (grin)! This one I can get for 800.00 but haven't pulled the trigger! It's a pretty clean rig!

The used car market has gone crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if you got $3500 without doing a thing to it. I know you would get at least that if you sold it here in CA

those are hard to come by, my son turns 16 in july so I have been looking for a 2wd standard cab toyota 4 cylinder for him. Something he can still take hunting and fishing but won’t get in too much trouble with.

My first vehicle was a 78 or 81 Toyota 2wd pickup, don’t remember the year but by the time I was done with it it didn’t have a straight panel, that thing was a blast.

If it was an automatic, I wouldn't give him two wooden nickels for it.

My dad drove an '87 Nissan 2x4 for years. Every time I got in it, I felt like my butt was dragging the ground. It was a lowrider from the factory. Ya, Paul......a little lift and new treads and it would be a sweet daily driver around town.

Ha Ha, good stuff! This truck is very clean, no dents & 156,000 is like 5,000 miles a year by this older woman. I personally know her & know this truck is well taken care of. She's finally gotten to the point she cannot drive any longer.

Yes, used cars here are going for higher than normal kinda like housing!

I agree, I wouldn't be interested if it was an automatic!
