This is one hell of a setup. I also have the t3 lite in an 06 Ackley and it really does make me laugh everytime I shoot it. Shot it a total of 3 rounds this season and took 2 muleys at 287, 555 and my elk was at 400. Unbelievably accurate and effective. What is depressing is that I have quite a few rifles some of which cost 5 times as much as this setup and this is becoming my backpacking favorite.
You just cannot go wrong with the plain old boring 06 for both deer and elk.

Well said Randy - and when case trimming time rolls around you can watch football, just an added bonus with the AI case

300 Win Mag. Always has and always will be top 5 caliber. Stay away from flavor of the month calibers.

I seriously think that most gun manufactures have worked themselves into a corner with how to produce rifles and make them accurate that now to stay afloat they have to produce different calibers to keep selling guns.

for a long time I thought Browning Abolts were the "thing", shot them for years - then I had 2 action freeze ups 2 consecutive years and went on the hunt for a new "lighter weight" factory rifle - when it came to Tikkas my primary concern was a foul weather, COLD weather dependable rifle that was light, accurate, affordable and well designed, I researched the company and Finland too, when I realized how inclement it gets there I figured those guys must know how to build a "rough and tumble gun", as it turned out they sure as HECK do .... not withstanding "Beretta USA" Tikka has turned out to be a pearl in the world of working men's rifles
