Going to take my atv in an open trailer to WY for antelope for the first time. 20 miles of gravel so don’t want a mud covered machine. Lots of covers say trailerable but I am skeptical. Any tips on quality heavier fabric covers?? Thanks

No tips except if it's dry you may want to consider dust. Unless that machine is zipped up in a bag you may end up with dust in every nook and cranny on the machine. Last year's trip to MT taught me that the dust does not simply blow away nor rinse off as easy as expected. Good luck

Short answer - none. They all turn into parachutes as soon as you hit the highway. I have The best luck with a canvas tarp that is heavy enough not to blow around at 60 MPH.

Heavy duty tarps work great if pulled down low in the front. Dust seems to be manageable, and the tarp prevents mud and ice.

Well don't drive it off the trailer if you don't want it dirty....Right now my last worry in Wyoming for Antelope opener would be mud. Actually I would welcome mud out west this year.

My two cents here. We hunted the opening last year and you could drive around in a truck and not scare the Antelope that were two hundred yards away. We pulled up and we’re watching a group of them. Then they all of a sudden ears went up and off they ran. Guess what came over the hill, ATVs. I watched several groups of Antelope do this over the couple days we hunted. Trucks didn’t bother them much, but they would run off before they even seen an ATV. Just my experience though. Had no problems driving around and filled 4 buck tags the first day.
