Hey guys I’m new here to rockslide. I am so excited to have found a community where I can unashamedly ask for people's honey holes and best kept hunting secrets! I know you guys are very generous so feel free to start sending in your favorite hunting locations (no need to pm me, just drop the coordinates in this thread). With that, I do not actually need your help as I am the best hunter to have ever lived. No matter what animal you or your kid has harvested, I have taken one bigger and I will be sure to let you know about it. Just do not ask for any pictures, because I am a bit insecure so I tend to over exaggerate. Furthermore, I will get angry at people for calling my bluff so it would be best to avoid that situation. Finally, no need to start new threads with me around, as I will actively hijack every thread and keep the OP from getting the answer that they were hoping for. Thank you guys for letting me join such a wonderful community!

In actuality I was joking above because as the new guy here I would appreciate some help. I want to be respectful and considerate, and avoid being that guy who annoys all of the long term members (sorry if this post is offense #1). I have read the rockslide rules and understand to treat people well, but what are some unwritten rules or pet peeves that would be helpful for someone like me to know about?

The never ending barrage of “best x for y application.” It’s all been covered ad nauseum for the most part, just use the search function before posting anything. Heck, oftentimes I’ll type something into google followed by “Rokslide” and find threads that way. Nothing worse than another “which scope should I take on my once in a lifetime sheep hunt” or “what $350 binoculars to buy” thread.

Whenever someone chooses to shoot something other than a small cartridge/match bullet combo, everyone dog piles on em saying that they're incorrect for shooting something other than the "rokslide special." Let em' shoot what they want, no need to convert them. Getting into arguments of forums is like those billboards on the highway about burning in hell; you aren't converting anyone with that.
