What are you guys using for gloves?

I have to say, once again this site is causing my wallet to go on a diet. Luckily it is a small diet as I am intrigued by the Chilly Grips and figure I will give them a spin. Thanks to those that suggested such a simple and cost effective solution.

The chilly grips are solid. I also have kuiu guide and yukon gloves. Im really excited about the yykon gloves but they do run big for layering. I usually look for light fleece and have considered giving the new merino ones a try too

No worries, despite what you might be led to believe backpack hunting doesn't NEED to be a spendy endeavor. Sure the expensive stuff makes it nicer, but certainly not mandatory and you can acquire the gear you'd like to upgrade over time in order of priority to you. That said, I'm blessed to be in a position to really have some fairly decent gear and I still use the chilly grips....they just work for me, that said you might not like 'em but for 10% the cost of some of these other gloves it might be worth trying to verify you hate 'em, but I doubt you'll come to that conclusion or find the $80 gloves are 10X better. Good luck to ya this season.

Another point worth noting about chilly grips is that they actually make them as small as size XS---I doubt this is a priority for most of you guys, but maybe for your wives and/kids? I have very small hands, and the XS chilly grips fit me well....

I use the wool liners you get at the army surplus stores they are cheap and hold warmth even when wet (they are made out of woolp) I do a fair amount of waterfowling and for the most part thats all I wear, they get wet just ring'em outy
