What are you guys using for gloves?

2 questions here. What do you guys take on an early season bow hunt for gloves? I know kryptek is coming out with some in a few months but haven't heard any details on them.

2nd question is what have you guys used for a waterproof glove for later hunts or for snow shoeing etc....? Do you run a layering system glove like the KUIU or a higher end Arcteryx style glove? (not saying kuiu isn't high end )

Sitka core gloves for camo, with Jetstream in the pack for backup for cold weather. Later season swith to Traverse gloves iwth Jetream/wool liners for backpack. I'm going to get some of those ugly gloves Luke wears, too, just to check them out.

I found a great pair of Redhead ( bass pro brand) liner gloves that have tips that allow for iphone use.

There is also a little sewn in pouch ( on the inside ) for a handwarmer...

The material is alot like the UA liner gloves... Wrists are long and perfect for a release.

Gloves and headwear has been an ongoing battle for me. Unfortunately I usually take 2 pairs of gloves. A pair of soft shell wool or fleece for warmth and a pair of Guide gloves or Mechanix gloves for utility purposes. I use the fleece the most so far. The Kuiu 230 wool with a pair of mechanix gloves will be what I experiment with next. I'm kind of concerned how warm this combo will be when it gets cold though, the fleece is thick.

As for getting wet; I don't have a good solution. When its raining its warm and the gloves dry out on there own. I'm usually wearing the utility gloves at this point. When its cold, its usually dry or snowing. Snow doesn't soak in to the fleece very well. I do my best to keep my hands in my pockets also. Overall I do my best to stay out of the rain and snow in the first place

I am also going to try the Chilly Grip gloves that Luke recommends. These look like the best solution for the trips that you know ahead of time that you are going to be wet.

I use Motocross gloves. Sometimes i put on a pair of Mechanix wear gloves. Until Mid season then I switch to FOX Cold Weather MX gloves.... For Late Season that glove doesnt work to well so the plan this year is to pick up a pair of windproof snowmobile gloves. Probably from Klim ( The thinner light weight version not the thick and bulky ones ) ...

I liked the guide gloves they were just too small so I need something else. I will check some of those out, I have worn the work gloves Luke wears and like them, but I can't bring myself to wear them anymore.... They are just too ugly for me Haha...

Not worried about waterproof gloves at all for hunting early season, just wanted some for snow stuff.

Sitka Shooter gloves early season and Jetstream gloves in the late...although i may find myself sticking with the shooter year round with how hot my hands get.

Spent money on a pile of gloves. Chilly grips are what I only use these days. Fit good, waterproof palm/fingertips, dry fast, warmish still when wet and cheap. The Atlas wanna be ones are not the same as these btw. For $5-$8 a pair its hard to go wrong. Been using them since 2009 nearly exclusively except to try the latest and greatest only to be disappointed and go back the Chilly Grips.

The new First Lite merino gloves look promising.

Buy 12 pair for $60 and keep a pair just about anywhere you might need them and you'll have plenty of spares.

I've been using the kuiu guide glove this year. They have worked great so far. For warmer weather I am going to be using some lightweight cutless gloves I wear at work and keep a pair in my kill kit to wear over latex. I'm getting tired of getting small cuts and pokes de boning game.

I roll the same as Luke. The chilly grips for cold weather and that same company makes a lighter model that I use for early season. They cost less than 8 bucks work great and the best part is I don't have to worry about losing them.

I bring a pair of underarmour liner gloves to throw under my main pair of everyday gloves which are gloves made from elk skin (just normal old leather type glove) that cabelas carries. Throw some obenaufs on em and they are almost as good as goretex.

If they fit you right - I like the Cabelas Camoskins (with grippy dots) gloves. They have sale each year and can get them for about 7.99.
Skin tight and comfy for me, still use cell phone, shoot with them on, and can wear all day...eating and all if you want. Dry quickly.
For a thin glove they sure work well for me all the way down to 20 degrees.

I really like the Hunters Specialties camo spandex gloves for early season. They are around $5-6 dollars. When it gets colder I use Sitka travers, or Manzella Forester or Powerstretch.
