What are you getting your wife for Christmas this year?

Me and my wife both agree that unless it involves our son or a major emergency, hunting season trumps all. Easiest way to avoid doing something you really don't want to do is go hunting.

That’s great, I’m envious! My kids are still little but hopefully they will enjoy hunting and being in the outdoors as much as I do. Once they get older and everyone in the family is out hunting, she might change her tune and see what it is all about. Until then I don’t see much of a chance of getting her into the woods.

Our son is 4 but we live on a family farm so Grammas house is only 400 yards up the road. I don't push my son too much. If he wants to go we go and if he doesn't he doesn't. He's starting to want to go more often than not now.

Oct 29 anniversary, this year was 10 years. I had a metallic print of our daughter in the NICU mounted to a canvas with my favorite Bible verse, Romans 5:3-4

Nov 20 her birthday, she just asked me to pay for the cleaners for a month. I'm having a neighbor kid deliver flowers at 730 in the morning so she can start her day off right. I'll be hunting.

Christmas, probably something stupid, but like a try hard and fail stupid

We are about to put a pool in and put a roof over our back patio and she wants some expensive patio furniture to go with it. She just told me a few days ago not that she did not want anything for Xmas and we shouldn’t get each other gifts this year since we are spending so much money on the house.

However, I’m a little apprehensive. Sounds like a trap! I’d rather play it safe, rather than be sorry, and get her something special.

I don’t want Xmas morning to come and there be gifts under the tree for me and none for her.

Same thing I’ve been getting her for Christmas, anniversary, and bday for the last 8 years - nothing. We got the same bank account so what’s the point. We’re both extremely frugal. If she needs something and she can’t get herself to buy it, I talk her into just buying it when she needs it and she does the same for me. Plus, we both prefer experiences over “things”.

Picked up an Apple Watch for my better half. Tried pitching a new laptop but she’s happy with what she has....lucky I guess

Thinking of having a custom bracelet made. Will have the first letter of our names and 3 kids all in Morse code. The stones will be turquoise since we live in the southwest.

my wife really wants a good small binocular, so getting her Maven’s B3 8x30

she never told me this, but after 39 years of marriage, I know she wants this :D
This a gift with no downside. If it turns out to be something she didn't really want, it will be in your bino harness by next fall.
