Indiana requires it. Even on used stuff from Ebay 👎🏼

By law they can’t force an out of state vendor unless they meet a min threshold of sales, most small businesses will never meet this. I doubt any of the sponsors outside of IN charge sales tax other then to customers within their state.

With the recent change due to the Wayfair case, I’m not sure all states have implemented their guidelines yet but I’d be surprised if you get sales tax from any of the sponsors located outside IN.

Just be aware of what you are buying. The current ELs are valued for the field flattened lenses and HD glass. Those have neither. They were top-of-the line 2003 glass, they aren’t that today. I think many list/buy this version of EL not knowing this.

They will be good glass if well taken care of. Swarovski will stand behind them like no other company. They are known for even being able to upgrade prisms, lenses, for a reasonable fee but you would need to call and ask.

You have a reasonable range here, but at the high end you’d begin to find better performance from other manufacturers new $1k glass. Comes down to how much you want Swarovski and if you can get them at the right price.

They may be 03 glass, but they're still better than 95% of the glass out there. I've got both the current EL glass and a pair of these in 10x42. I generally grab the older pair as the ergonomics is considerably better IMHO.

Those 8.5x42 EL and a good spotter are hard to beat. You could put another $1200 down and buy brand new 8.5x42 EL’s. If you’ve never had good glass you will love them.

They will make you scoff at any other glass you ever encounter, that's for sure.

I don’t knock the older ELs, just want people to know the difference. I’ve seen people market (here and eBay) older ELs as Swarovision. I’ve actually bought 2 pair of Swarovision ELs in the price ranges described above (lucky yes). So only the buyer can determine the right price for him

I’ve seen people buy pre-SLC NEU for near SLC HD pricing. The SLC NEU is tough to beat today too.
