I don't have experience with anything other than the Bench Source. Been very pleased with it. I anneal after every firing. Can knock out 50-100 rounds very quickly. I keep a few dummy rounds that I've screwed up from resizing too much as my tempilaque gauges. I'll adjust my flame for that cartridge and let her eat.

Do you use the case prep station on it as well?
The case prep station is the only thing I've used so far and I love it. I set up a chamfer, deburr, and nylon brush on the heads and fly through a lot of brass with no hand cramps now.

On the case prep station, are you coming back to the machine after sizing? Or are you doing this prep before sizing? I typically don’t chamfer and deburr until after sizing. I don’t want all those brass shavings in my dies.

I have the EP and have found it to be easy to use and at a good price point for somebody that doesn’t reload like crazy.

I snagged a burstfire a while ago. Been impressed by it in the times I’ve used it.

I just ordered this earlier this week. Backordered currently but they seem to be a good deal for what I wanted to spend.

I found a code which covered shipping: TheHide5

Yep, after sizing. I find lanolin/alcohol lube most convenient, so I lube and size 100pcs, tumble in white rice for an hour or 2 to absorb all the lube, run them through the media separator and pick the pieces of rice out of a few primer pockets and make sure flash holes are clear, toss them all in a bath towel and wipe them down, and run them through the case prep station.

Second vote for the EP being easy to use. It was my first stab at annealing and went really well.

I had an annealeez. Although not all that difficult to set up, you basically have to reset everything every cartridge. Plus open flame inside and the idea as the tank emptied your flame varied, was enough for me to bite the bullet on an AMP. So much easier, the argument that an AMP takes more time is not true at all.

Could a larger bottle with a regulator be used to keep a more consistent flame?

Great thread. Been wanting a to buy something for a while now. Just ordered a Burstfire.

I don't have a safety confirmed answer, but the redneck answer is you betcha. I bought a hose adapter off amazon and run my little camping grill off a 7lb propane tank all summer.

You can run a large bottle with the conversion hose, just be aware that some of the 1lbs tank conversion adapters have a schrader valve in them and that can complicate things if the torch doesn't have a long enough "tang" to depress it.
