What and how do you carry your sidearm in the highcountry?

I’ve carried a Glock 10mm in chest holster the last two years, but it under my bino harness under my pack shoulder straps, is just more shit than I care for hanging and bouncing on my chest/midsection.
Thinking about trying a low thigh holster that is out of the way of my pack belt.
