I had a long range 7 rem mag built with a Tikka M695. action . I want a trigger that will be under a lb. I've already tried the spring replacement. Can anyone tell me what would fit it ? Thanks !

I have a UM trigger spring installed in my both my Tikka's, pull weight is right around 2lbs.
Google "Tikka M695 trigger". Looks like T3x, Sako S20 triggers will fit.
Sub 1 pound triggers are not safe in the Tikka design. Do as you please, but be aware. You can also replace the spring (also not safe).
thanks !How about looking at the trigger, if it looks like a T3x trigger, then anything that fits a T3x will probably fit.
If it doesn't, then you are probably out of luck.
I think your right . it has that same bent shaped wire on the side. Thanks !How about looking at the trigger, if it looks like a T3x trigger, then anything that fits a T3x will probably fit.

Thanks for the heads up, Mine sometimes shows a lb and sometimes 14 oz 's . it just needs to be lighter. This thread gets into it.

I just got back from the S2H Winter course where I shot a Tikka RSS 223. I like a light trigger so I chose to try replacing the factory trigger spring with a lighter trigger spring.
On day 6 I had a accidental discharge when I closed the bolt. Fortunately it was rnd 3 on target during an exercise. Running the bolt hard and fast I believe exaggerates the failure earlier than if it is run less aggressively.
Form confirmed failure by running the bolt 15-20 times and had another failure, rifle unloaded...

The KRG Midas is drop safe by SAAMI standard down to 2 pounds. I believe most Factory Tikka triggers are as well. If yours doesn't get down to 2 pounds (which it sounds like some don't for whatever reason), then a replacement would be worth trying.
I'm not an expert, just passing on my takeaways from what I have read, so take it with a grain of salt and spend some time reading up on it.
Thanks , I tried the spring but not light enough.

I reduced the pull weight on mine down to a pound and a quarter . You just take the stock off and let out the screw. Lots of videos out there.I have a UM trigger spring installed in my both my Tikka's, pull weight is right around 2lbs.
I didn't know that the aftermarket springs are unsafe. What makes them unsafe? Any known remedies to reduce pull weight to around 2lbs and still have a safe firearm?
