What a weekend in a snowy south Alabama swamp!

Great story and awesome bucks! Reminds me of how we hunt he in South GA. Those swamps can be unforgiving but worth the trek if you stick with it.

especially with some snow still on the ground from last week’s blizzard. It snowed more last week than it had cumulatively here in my life.

That’s a neat experience. Did it melt quickly or were schools closed for a week? I love hunting in the snow, luckily/unluckily we get a lot of it.

Shut us down for most of the week. It snowed in a Tuesday and there was still some on the ground the following Sunday, rain the next day melted it all. But even Thursday/Friday it was still very thick most places. This is when I could finally make it to our hunting property on Thursday.

What a cool hunt, congrats. Been hunting similarly not far away from you the last few years. Very different than out west, but there are some incredibly cool parts of the deep south, and I'm very grateful to have been able to experience them firsthand. Congrats again on a killer hunt!

Same up in Greenville ( Lowdnes County) where I was at. Pretty much any measurable snow and ice shuts the area down. And did. We were down for 3 days. We supplied up at camp so we just kept on hunting, cooking and having a good time.
