I haven't read those but the WG&F biologists etc said the public comments were mostly in favor of the changes they made but the LOs really pushed back and got it changed by the commission.Available in the commission meeting notebook info.

There are several units that are over objective. Ask those biologist you mentioned. They’re the ones making the recommendations, correct? For the life of me I cannot understand increasing or keeping tag allocations the same when herd numbers are 40%-60% of the desired objective.
We know WHY they do it… greed, selfishness of $$$.
You would think the biologists and wildlife managers would fight this.
Wasn't the recent addition of Type 2 tags limited to raghorns an idea that originated from Wagonhound to reduce busted antlers on the big boys?Actually Dax had some comments and after listening to them I have no complaints against Wagonhound.
He had numbers and good constructive ideas that they listened too and several other LOs agreed and some did disagree. They all want that area to be a trophy bull area again and they want more smaller bulls taken to take pressure off the older class bulls.
The comment summary in the notebook didn't address the Type 2 changes which were significant but later reversed. Maybe the comments are in wytex's video which I'll watch later.Available in the commission meeting notebook info.
