Wetting through

Out under a tarp last weekend and a spot on my tarp the size of a paper plate wet through and was dripping , just curious if anybody knows why? Rest of it was flowing off but that area would soak and run down wrinkles , any preferred applications for waterproofing tents and such? I hit search already , “waterproofing” boots for days lol

Walmart sells a silicon waterproofing spray that works okay for my tents. Similar to Scotch Guard. You can spray your tarp inside and out.

Some of the thin nylon tarps (without a coating layer) will bleed thru if you touch em. Maybe that's what happened?

If it's a pin hole, try Aqua Seal....we use it on fishing waders, best thing ever...

I’m guessing so , I’ve seen that at Walmart , just curious if there is a little better product a guy could use to prevent that , was a pain as it ran along the tarp underneath and dripping ,

Exactly, don't touch the ceiling of the tent or tarp when it is raining. Unless you want to mess with your tent buddy and touch it above his head when he is trying to sleep.
