Western Washington Training Hike

Thanks for the offer Justin, I'll bring a small day pack and make do with that. I'll embrace this light weight hike until my duplex EMr2 shows up. Then it's heavy hikes from there on out :)

I've got to out of town all weekend. Hope to make one of these soon. Looking forward to meeting some folks

Thought I would bring this back up to the top. If anyone else is interested, we are meeting at the trailhead around 7:30 and we'll be hitting the trail at 8:00am.

Hope to see some new faces out there.

Agreed. Was great to finally put some faces to the names. Good to meet you guys. Hope the maple bars were great. Sorry I had to bale.

Curious to what your guys hikes are like. I was able to get a local hike in yesterday now that the ice is gone, it was .5 mile 900 feet elevation gain, then 1.5 miles back down on the other side. It was short, and I only had a 40lb pack, but I still felt it in the legs.

Yesterday was 6.5 miles round trip with about 2000' of gain. I usually shoot for about 50lbs. There was various weights though.

1/2 miles and 900' of gain is pretty gnarly!

Yea, it is a steep short grind. We lapped it twice.

Its the "M" trail here in Bozeman, I might have rounded the 900, it might be like 860 or so...
