I just drew a western washintgon elk tag for antlerless youth archery in GMU 485 (Green River Watershed) for the late season and was first met with great excitement for my first elk hunt, even though ive been with my dad several times in washington and Idaho for elk, this was the first time I would be the primary hunter, but I also feel a little overwhelmed, my dad shot a bull in western before and i know the near area pretty well, and i felt that this area would be a great place for advice for this hunt as there is no in person scouting for this unit. Ive gone through a few forums and some seen some great advice for the particular unit, but nothing much for western washington elk hunting in general with a bow. The place I hunted before for bear is pretty close but my dad shot his roosevelt in the Long Beach unit far south. I attached a map with the unit and the dot is where i hunted for bear with a few years back. Any help would be greatly apprecitated!
