Image stabilized Sig Vs Swaro

Couple minutes in and it is clear to me I would want the Swaro just based on image quality.

What I noticed as a big plus for the Sig, was how much more light was gathered after zooming in. Obviously because of the bigger objective. Sure wish Swaro would have went with the same sized power and objective on this straight model as they did their angled model.

I know what you’re talking about but I kinda felt like that was more just washed out looking than better light transmission. But ya the angled swaro in the mix would tell the whole story

I have some of the binos. The view is mediocre but the stabilization makes up for a lot of that. I know that using it long term would be too much but quick looks on the move it works great.

Maybe just the video, but the view from the spotter reminds me of being a kid and my dad buying tasco binos from Kmart. They were useable for fast verification but man that view was rough. It was so much more obvious how bad it was sitting next to the Swaro like in the video.

Little update. Went to look through them today. I will say that the Sig doesn’t look as bad as the video shows in person though it was brighter. The edges are bad but the center is pretty good. Color isn’t great but you can still clearly see shades in it. The stabilization is fantastic handholding.

But I bought the Swaro. Of course it’s better and not by any small margin. It better be at twice the price. But after looking for myself I absolutely knew that I couldn’t be happy switching from NL to the sig for a better look and that it would eat at me.

When I first heard Swaro was doing this and the price would be less than an STX, I figured that glass would be lesser to make it happen. I was very wrong. It is simply phenomenal across the entire range and at all magnification.
