Western Spring Bear Hunt

I'm thinking my spring bear season in Canada will be a no go this year. Looking for recommendations for an Outfitter here in the states that offers great black bear spot and stalk archery hunting. This trip is a graduation present for my son and I'm really wanting to find a great place before he ships off to boot camp.

Does it have to be archery? Spot & stalk archery is going to be tough on harvesting one as you know I’m sure. But if he can use a rifle I can recommend a few outfitters and his success rate will be MUCH higher.

I just talked to a Canadian outfitter yesterday. He said no spring bear and said probably next fall not too optimistic that border will be open. Outfitters are hurting up north
