First time posting. This will be my first bow hunt, and I get cheap rates because of Military non resident OTC. I know it will be extremely hard, but I am ready to jump feet first into some of the gnarliest terrain and get off the roads. I train a lot, and am used to carrying unreasonable amounts of weight on my back... Wondering if anybody needs extra hands this season or would have an extra spot. I am not expecting much as this will be a learning opportunity, but just want to get out nonetheless. Few of my friends share the same enthusiasm for hard hiking with little guarantees.

Otherwise is there any advice for soloing this? I am coming from Utah.

Make sure you have Onx and do your research on who owns the land you will be hunting. Western Oregon is largely a checkerboard ownership. September can be very high to extreme fire danger and every timber company manages access during fire season differently. I would venture to even say a large percentage do not allow access during that time. I do live, hunt and work for a timber company in SW Oregon.
