Western Drought Status

Heading back to MT elk hunting this September. What are the drought conditions you guys are experiencing?

Central MT here. Really really dry. Winter wheat and winter canola look really poor from the drought last fall and lack of snow this winter.

Talked to my sister north of Helena along the Smith. Not bad but not great...They just had a few inches of snow in the past couple weeks I believe. They have turned their cattle out not concerned right now on that front.
