Most Western Canadian folks feel dismissed in Canada. We have little in common with the East and more in common with the bordering States
These days though we don't travel to Montana or Idaho and don't feel very welcome .
We feel even less welcome in Eastern Canada .
Folks, don't blame the messenger but I really wonder where this is going.

What's your question? I couldn't give a flying duck what people in the east think of us. Or for that matter, the US. I still thing ab,sk and bc besides the cities are some of the best places to be from. Well, bc used to be nice anyway.

It’s going nowhere. They’re just feelings.

I'm in BC and would love to be part of Western Canada and leave the east. Problem in BC is far too many stupid people in Vancouver/Victoria area, I would like us to leave them behind and the rest of BC join Alberta. Things are much different when you get out of the Vancouver/Victoria area but they are the ones who control what the rest of us unfortunately.

Pick a country, a state, then pick the big city located in it, boom......... Same issue world wide. I haven't given it much thought, but name a place where a big city has had a positive impact on the rest the territory, state, or country? BC is being controlled by an metropolis of people that hardly speak English. Talk about insanity. To add to the insanity, you land in Vancouver, and on the PA system, they're speaking French. Why?

It’s probably because French is one of the two official languages of Canada.

Speaking an official language of a country, within that country, qualifies as ironic?

FWIW, it’s actually required to use French and English languages in Canadian airports.
