first time I've seen them lined up like that. the cows were a couple hundred yards away. the bulls were on that bank overlooking the cows. there were 15 cows and a few calf's mill around feeding. I saw a couple of smaller bulls that were well away from these three.

I hope you can get one before they break each other up. There's gonna be throw downs between them for sure when the go to rounding up cows for real.

Hey SHTF. I am not going in till the 18th. I have a new job that i hate and no vacation. if i get lucky i'll get fired this week and just go in for the opener and stay for a couple of weeks. I been see elk but this was the first time i saw these three together like that. wish i would have had a great camera. those elk didn't seem nervous at all but i backed out after that picture.

Yep - my guess is that the DOW is tracing that herd. there were a bunch of cows and calves milling around in the meadow below the bulls. wonder what the rule is for shooting a cow with a collar?
