This is when the Elite promise would come in handy, if you bust your Elite on a trip and cant fix it they will send you a bow all set up to your specs to use for the rest of your hunt. If you buy a new bow you might want to consider them.

Utah Archery Center is hooking me up! Limbs off of a carbon element, not the same deflection but they'll work nonetheless. GAME ON!

Stay away from any more Coors Light. Good luck on the hunt.

We're all pulling for ya go get that mongrel on the mountain and post up a sweet victory pic when you have him on the ground! Let this be the turning of the tide and the beginning of good luck.

Never been there, but if I'm ever in the area I'll be stopping at this Utah Archery Center. Kudos to them, and good luck!

I'm buying a bow after this season and Hoyt just went way down the list of possible bows. Someone mentioned Elite archery's warranty and I will look at some others but I know that Hoyt could give shit. Minimum effort on their part.

I had the same issue on my Hoyt last year one week before the hunt. Hoyt couldn't get me replacement limbs for about 3 weeks! I went and bought a new bow. It would be easy for Hoyt to deal with these issues.

I feel for you. I also know how it is with the cash. I Usually spending money getting prepared and getting to the hunt and i am tapped out once there.

I hope you are successful so it all ends up as a good hunting story.

Muleman, hunt was a bust (partially anyways) never spotted a buck, the moon and weather didn't do me a lot of favors I'm sure. I got some quality time on the mountain though and really refined my kit. I'm extremely disappointed that I never saw a single buck, my expectations were pretty high for a first time mountain hunter and it wasn't the complete backcountry hunt but that was probably for the best given all the gear failure. Home now and already wishing I could be back, feel like the mountain won this battle, coming back next year with a vengeance.

Rhendrix , you sure persevered through a tough hunt and learned more than you ever wanted to know about the limits of your gear. I would love to hear about what worked and what failed. I bet if you keep up with it you will get your deer and it will all the more sweet for all the chit you went through to get him.

My expectations are extremely high going into any hunt, irrationally so even, my wife makes fun of me for it all the time but if I looked at reality and decided that I only have a 10% chance of bring successful I wouldn't try so dn hard.
