Hey you Roksliders. Please welcome our new advertiser, Exterra Precision:
Exterra Precision was formed by a group of Idaho hunters with decades of experience testing, engineering and manufacturing products for the shooting sports. As backcountry hunters based in Idaho we understand the need for reliable precision-made gear. Our goal is to provide our fellow hunters with gear that helps them excel in the mountains and on the range. See all we offer here.
They are doing a cool giveaway on their scope rings. But you actually have to shoot your gun to win (I know, cry me a river). Here's how you get in:
We are going to give away a set of our one piece direct mount rings (see our rings here). To enter
1) subscribe to our email list at Contact Us (lower left at Subscribe to our emails)
2) We will send Exterra .pdf target to shoot a 10-shot group on
3) Just post a pic of your group in this thread to get entered.
Winner to be chosen at random from guys who post up that pic
Thanks for the introduction. It’s exciting to see our products coming to market… especially since they are simply products that we designed for our own hunting rifles.
The scope rings started out eight years ago because I couldn’t find a set of rings for my new Tikka that I liked… seemed redundant to add a pic rail to a rail and then stack rings on top of that… to many potential points of failure.
Since I had mountains of 7075 aluminum from other products we build, pretty soon I was building them for all my rifles & my buddies.
Here’s a quick video of how the rings work on a Tikka & show the 17-4 screws and locking pins.
