Weird/dumb question.

Hunted antelope one year after a very early snow storm. Did have 1 encounter with a rattlesnake, with a melting snow drift 20' away. He gave plenty of warning tho.

I just got back from Eastern Montana and Eastern Wyoming. Was hunting pronghorn in Eastern Montana and scouting prairies in Wyoming for future pronghorn or mule deer hunt. Temps still were in the 60's for high. Never saw any snakes, but wear scentblocker snake chaps, and brother wore snake boots. Didn't really cause any discomfort, but I still was aware of where I was stepping and putting my hands at all times. Have hunted western Montana 4 other years and haven't encountered any snakes.

but I still was aware of where I was stepping and putting my hands at all times
Of course. Can’t believe someone would go hunting in the wild, and NOT be aware of where they step. Oh, someone on the internet said I didn’t need to look for snakes, so I didn’t and I got bit.
