I shoot 68lbs, 28” draw, 28” 5575 arrow. 100gr rage 3 blade chiseled tip, they shoot great, just curious if I should add some weight to them for elk and whitetail for better penetration? Does good on white tail, but plan on a elk hunt in next couple of years an wondering if need more weight for elk? If I do, would like to start shooting them now so I’ll be ready in the future.

Try it! Just be careful to not add too much as it could make your arrow underspined. You can run the calcs though.

I shoot 65lba/29” with a .340 spine and 100 gr. NAP Spitfire Maxx head. I added 10 grains of GT FACT weight and could tell a difference on my penetration as well as just being a harder hitter. I catch hell pulling my arrows from targets. I have well-aligned arrow flight. I’m planning to go to a .300 Pierce Platinum and add about 20 grains of weight.

Grab six and run the FACT weight system GT offers. Do you need more weight? Probably not. But if you want more go for it. The FACT will let you play with it to see what's best without being a major pita. Or grab a 3 pack of 125gr heads and see if you notice a difference.

You might need to go up to the .300 shafts with the extra weight in the front. I shoot almost the same set up and the .340 shafts were weaker then what I would've liked. Going up to the .300s will add several grains as it is.

This. Exactly what I’m doing as I move to .166 or .204 ID. With 100 grain broadhead and front end components, I will easily push close to 150 grains up front. .300 spine is an easy choice. Gold Tips calculators are great tools.
