Week Long Elk Hunt (September)

In the great mountains of Wyoming I was blessed with a week long elk hunt! In the end never released an arrow but as the great Fred Bear once said, “Hardships are quickly forgotten. Intense heat, bitter cold, rain and snow, fatigue, and luckless hunting fade quickly into memories of great fellowship, thoughts of beautiful country, pleasant camps, and happy campfires.” Even after the most difficult hunts, I am already looking forward to the next one.

Hmmmm........a lot of my most memorable moments of hunting trips over the years are the "hardships" endured. In the end, it's all good........even the hardships.

@MOcluck no it wasn't a solo trip, my boyfriend was with me on this one! But that would be cool to take a solo trip, to be completely honest I don't think I am ready for a week long solo trip. Maybe someday in the future though!
