Saw one of these today in 308, for about half the price of retail if I read it correctly. Looking for some reviews. I believe its the newer cerakote version.

My Wilderness is silly accurate. The stocks are lighter than available from BC at about 1lb14 oz, and the recoil lugs are glass bedded. There is a full length AL block in the stock and I see nothing discernable from different support or shooting positions in bullet impact.

The only difference between the Wilderness and Backcountry is the latter is cerakoted.

Where are they on sale and for what price?

It was a used gun on consignment, but looked brand new. I swear the tag said $475, but now I'm second guessing myself as I looked through the used stuff quickly, but I'm positive it was this model. I've never owned any Weatherbys before, so didn't know a thing about this model specifically.

They are basically a Howa 1500 action in a Bell and Carlson stock. I think they are a fantastic value and the three Vanguards in my house all shoot similarly well. I appreciate the three position safety compared to other similarly priced accurate and relatively lightweight rifles. I would feel like the hamburglar if I grabbed a Backcountry for less than $600 for sure.
