Weatherby Mark V Feeding Issues

I have a Weatherby Mark V High Country chambered in 7 PRC. I have had it about a year now. I’ve noticed this issue slightly with factory rounds that I was shooting. 180 ELDm’s and 170 TA’s. Every once in a while I would have the issue but it wasn’t consistent and didn’t happen very often. I should’ve taken action back when I got the gun but that’s in the past. Now, I have loaded up some Berger 180 Hybrids and they won’t feed from the box or if you just throw one in and sit it on top of the mag. They hit the flat face of the barrel. You can muscle them into the chamber but then it destroys the tip on the Berger. Just played around with the TA’s and it does the same thing but far less muscle to get it to chamber. Almost just taps the flat part and then slides into the chamber. It doesn’t seem to be a COAL issue either. I loaded up a Berger much shorter than the factory loads and it still does the same thing. I ordered this rifle back in November of 2023 and I didn’t receive it until June of 2024 due to them having issues with feeding reliability. Was quoted 90 day lead time. This was when they initially came out with the 7 PRC chambering in the mark V. In the pictures you can see the Berger jammed up against the barrel and the marred tip on the terminal ascent. Does anyone have some recommendations to try and fix before I ultimately call Weatherby and send it back to them?

I had a lot of feeding issues with my 6 lug and ordered a new spring and follower from Weatherby. The folliwer they sent was a completely different shape than what came in my rifle, and seems to have fixed the problem.

Good to know. I figured they had it ironed out beings that is what took so long for me to get my rifle. They said they had to completely redesign the mag box. I’ll give them a call and see if they updated it again after I got mine.

I'm not sure when the change happened, my rifle was built immediately after they moved to WY. I can get you pictures of both if you need them.
