Looking at getting either a Weatherby 307 alpine ct or Bergara B-14 crest carbon does anyone got any pros or cons with either. Or is one better then the other. They both seem equal from what I've read. This will be a western backcountry elk rifle. Looking at 6.5 PRC. I did look at seekins ph3 also but I have a ph2 and I'm not a huge fan of there stocks and nobody makes stocks for them. There also about a pound heavier, not sure how much that will matter but people always say every oz matters.

I handled both and went with the alpine CT. Biggest in the hands differenc efor me was I prefered the peak 44 stock to the bergara stock. Has been extremely accurate with factory eldm.

Ok awsome thanks. Unfortunately no places around me have either so I can't get hands on.

I’ve also handled both and went with the Weatherby. I have two rifles now with stocks from Peak 44 and I wish every rifle I own had one. I’m shooting excellent groups with my Alpine CT. I shot sub 1” groups with factory 175 ELD-X rounds in my 7mm PRC, but my best groups were from 162gr ELD-M handloads. Overall, it’s the best rifle I own for a variety of reasons.
