Weatherby 307 Alpine CT bolt finish

Why are we seeing so many quality control issues from gun makers? I bought a Weatherby 307 Alpine CT one week ago. 20 rounds down the tube. Now the finish on the bolt and bolt knob are coming off in multiple areas. I know it may not be the most expensive rifle to some shooters, but at $2100, the finish should not be falling off the bolt and bolt knob in 20 shots. The gun shoots fantastic. Still testing factory loads (7mm BC) but it’s a 3/4 MOA gun so far with two factory loads. I emailed Weatherby and they want me to send the entire gun back to them. Not sure why I cannot just send the bolt. They are not the most speedy at responding to emails.
