Getting ready to head out elk hunting on Sept 12 - the end of the archery season. Trying to get an idea of what the temps are going to be highs and lows. I know that it is a crap shoot, but what are the current temps now?

Thanks.

I just use the point forecast system from the NWS, page down and you will see a map, you can search for a local City to where you are hunting then use the map and there are both Topo and Satellite choices, I've settled in on a particular campsite before, it will give you a decent seven day Outlook then bookmark it and if you get cell coverage on the mountain you can get updated forecasts

I'll say this. I've been looking into our weather up here in SC Wyoming for our archery hunt on the 15th. Big change forecast for us that has colder temps and precip. I will be betting on cooler and night time snow that coming week if the forecast doesn't change.
Warm right now and our mountains and parts of Colorado are getting rain now.
Best to check right before you leave.

I saw some snow flakes flaming out as they fell with the rain drops yesterday just West of Denver at 11.5K!
