Hey Matt, just listened to that episode, when did you experience breakage, when you opened or closed the legs?

How’s it holding up shooting-wise?My Slik CF-632 showed up in just a couple days and I am very impressed. It was "Rok" steady with a 8.5lb rifle on it and its very easy to use. I threw the head on it from my Aoka(Same as Oben) and that worked very well but I did feel like the head is a little undergunned since the tripod is just so good and steady. S&S told me this would be the most steady option for what I was considering and they are definitely right because I can't imagine it being any more steady, I'm seriously blown away, it is much more steady than some much heavier tripods. If anyone is looking for a tripod for seated glassing and shooting I will always recommend it. I considered the Aziak head but decided that saving 1oz for $48 doesn't make any sense so I ordered the Smallrig one for $27.
I ended up getting the Aziak head for it since I had GoHunt points to spend, which was in fact quite a bit better, just easier to use and more well built. How’s it holding up shooting-wise?
I used the 632 a lot and also wished it was a bit taller, I ended up getting the 633, and i removed the bottom leg section and put some rubber caps on the bottom of the legs. The 633 is about perfect for me.I ended up getting the Aziak head for it since I had GoHunt points to spend, which was in fact quite a bit better, just easier to use and more well built.
I used the tripod all last season and love it still, very easy to use, super steady and holding up. Just shot one animal off it but it worked great. My only gripe is I wish it was just a touch taller. I love the 2 section but wouldn’t mind it being longer in the side of my pack and giving me a little more height for better options when glassing and setting the tripod on uneven terrain. It always works no problem though when I extend the center post as needed. For a center post tripod it is ridiculously rigid.
