i find myself useless without reading glasses. i hate it. depressed me a bit. but i have come to grips with it..

i, still out of habit, will find myself at a dimly lit restaurant without reading glasses..and it is hopeless. i have a messenger bag from Timbuk2 from my San Francisco motorcycle-only days..but it is tattered and..tattered is enough of a reason i guess.

i have knives, cell phones, wallet. etc. with glasses, it is bit much to pocket. time for a bag.

what do you suggest? or should i simply fire up the BBQ and toss my man-card into the embers.?

Hmm, do you even know how to fire up the BBQ? Perhaps you are referring to a crock pot :D

Let's see, a cool man purse...

I got this recently for my girlfriend. It is targeted towards women but honestly I think it is pretty cool. It would definitely hold a laptop and other daily stuff.

Honestly, I've probably tried every major go-bag, man purse, whatever....they were all lacking in some area and (no offense to anyone) I felt queer'r than a 3 dollar bill using a bag that was called a "man-purse".

I currently use a TNF Jester backpack and it works as good as anything I've tried. It's simple and low profile. Not perfect but nothing ever is...

This is JMO and YMMV

My company (based in Seattle) for Christmas got everyone personalized Timbuk2 bags. I told them to save their money I would never wear it, lol. I do enjoy making fun of my co-workers with theirs though!

I don't have a suggestion on which model exactly, but whatever you choose, make sure to put some skittles in there.

;)

Goruck!!! GR1 is a great bag and very functional....the Kifaru X Ray is another but smaller than the GR1

Boom, whatever you choose I think it'd HAVE to be OD or Coyote & have PAL webbing all over it to even have a chance at retaining your man card. Including a CCW in it would ENSURE retention of said man card.

maybe something like this:

Check out the urban zippy over on the kifaru forums. Not out yet but it looks awesome.

One pack I'll never get rid of is my e&e. Great little bag. I use it as a backpack to avoid the weird looks but you could easily put a shoulder strap on it if that what you want.

I'm almost 49 and I'm fighting off all use of reading glasses for the most part. As long as I have good light I can usually see pretty well. I've started taking my small single AA pack flashlight to restaurants and such, just so I can see the menus. My problem with cheaters is that both my eyes are different and need different power in each lens.......so just keep avoiding all the hassle of even getting some.

As for the "man bag"........not going to happen with me, so I can't help you there. I'll start wearing my 6-pocket hunting pants everywhere to hold everything before I go that route. You should see everything I carry on a hunt in those pockets.........RF, GPS, camera, mouth calls, watch, windicator, reed calls, snacks.......etc.
