Water systems, cleaning, drying and storing tips ?

I just bought a Sawyer mini filter and a Hoser 3L. My question is. What are some good ways to clean and store them? Especially the sawyer, can it get moldy inside? Putting something "away" wet for a while scares me.

With my Sawyer after a trip I back flush per directions, then very slowly use the syringe to push air through it. I then store it propped up with the tip inside a socket. That allows a gap for some drainage. There is something in the instructions about using bleach for long term storage. If I lived in a humid climate I would just replace it every year.

Sawyers website says nothing on how to dry or long term store the filter after it is wet.

I shake mine out, backflush it with the syringer and set it out to dry standing upright. Bladders I bend an old wire hanger to hold the pouch open and hang it upside down to dry.

It was on my packaging, wouldn't surprise me if they took it off for liability reasons.
