I will be hunting a unit with no water source nearby, I have hunted this unit before and I used gallon jugs for water. After being in the elements for a week all my water tasted like plastic. What do you backcountry guys use for water storage to prevent the taste of plastic? Thanks in advance.

I use one also and don't notice a off taste but have also read about it

MSR drom bag here also. I don't notice any bad taste either. I would guess we get more weird taste from all the frog shit or ?? that is in the water than any plastic taste. Just think about that every time you say "this water tastes funny".

I use MSR Dromlite bags and I get some plastic taste when it sits for days, but not when using within 24 hours.

Run some lemon juice through the drom bag before you go. I've heard it helps. I'm usually too thirsty to notice or care.

I use Platypus. Never noticed a bad taste or anything with them. Pretty cheap and super durable.

My dromedary didn't make the water taste like plastic...all I tasted was the dust from it sitting in the bed of my truck the whole trip..haha
